BOLOGNESE SAUCE IS TRAVELING FROM BOLOGNA TO CINCINNATI, VIA THE GRASSROOTS KITCHEN!
This timeless product is now available for you to prepare in your own home. Susan has been working on the recipe for over a year. It traditionally consists of: various meats in the country larder, root vegetables, milk, and wine, simmered together all morning, for noontime feeding of hungry men from the fields. It is served over pasta, with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.
The ingredients of Susan's Soulful Bolognese Sauce are: grassfed beef, grassfed lamb, beef fat, bone broth, butter, celery, carrots, garlic, onion, nutmeg, pepper, sage, salt, thyme, tomatoes, organic milk, and white wine. Add this to a pound of pasta, and one has a quick and delicious meal for two adults and two children or three adults, depending on appetites. This is a dense food that stretches well. We are offering it in 3-cup containers, priced at $20/container, bringing the cost to less than $7 per serving.
The trick with serving this is to mix a 1/3 - 1/2 cup of pasta water with the Bolognese Sauce to dilute it slightly. Then add 2 tablespoons of butter. Before serving, either mix sauce into the pasta or add on top of the pasta, as the eye prefers.

So, let us know if you need anything extra for Thanksgiving and we will bring it this week. We will have additional chickens on hand, should you want smaller fowl for the occasion.
